Fundraising & Financials—

Feminist Center remains deeply affected by Georgia’s 6-week abortion ban, and this hard truth has led us to rethink how we fundraise. Over the past few years we’ve deepened our giving strategies and significantly skilled-up our fundraising staff and board, increasing donor revenue when many organizations are seeing a decline. But make no mistake: we are still on a significant journey to financial sustainability and we need your help to keep our doors open. As you review these financials, consider giving today. Take a look at this snapshot of our financial and organizational gains:

  • Continued our organizational transformation process by establishing fundraising norms that reflect our new mission and vision statements, working with Nikki Morse LLC.
  • Some outcomes included a sample gift acceptance policy and exploring what a donor orientation series could look like
  • Held board fundraising training to level up our board fundraising engagement strategies
  • Held our first ever virtual donor briefing in collaboration with Amplify Georgia & Abortion Care Network
  • Utilized a $50,000 grant to provide reproductive wellness services to those in need
  • Received over $261,000 from an anonymous funder to engage in organizational strategic planning with emphasis on financial sustainability and business planning
  • Worked with Lunoor Consulting LLC’s Sara Totonchi to create a Development Initiative to level up fundraising work. Initiative outcomes included an audit of current fundraising practices, a plan to reorganize the Development and Communications departments to maximize fundraising potential, a 2026 fundraising plan, and a feasibility assessment on establishing a quasi-endowment
  • Funded a new Director of Development role to level up development efforts and implement our 2026 fundraising plan
  • Received $250,000 from Dekalb county to provide reproductive wellness services such as birth control, pap smears, and STD testing to county residents in need
  • Launched monthly giving program Feminist Circle to sustainably raise funds for our work and foster a community of feminist donor-activists
